i was wondering since this is costing me money that if anyone has problems with a cracked intake on the 3.8 motor and what would cause this.

The UIM deteriorates at the egr passage and needs to be replaced if a mystery coolant loss is observed, common on the 3.8's, so what is actually your question? The pronblem can be seen by removing the TB.
