I have an 03 Silverado. I wanted to change the cabin air filter, but i read online that they stopped putting the filters in, in 2003. If so, does anyone know what cleans the air now? (I would assume they replaced the filters with something better) Let me know what you think!

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that if they took off the cabin air filter, there is no filtration. I just sucks it up cools/heats it and blows it out. Personally, I think all this cabin air filter stuff is a bunch of BS anyway. I mean, we all breath the outside air daily and these filters really only get out particulate matter, not carbon monoxide or other harmful gases. As far as I'm concerned the filters were just another stupid maintenance item, because it would get really stinky if it wasn't changed for a long time.
