Problems starting a 88 13bjorgeandonie 07-29-2006, 08:38 PM Ok this is a freind's car, he really hasn't worked on it since he bought it, and it didnt ran before he bought it... Well, i tried cranking it, and it wouldnt crank at first, ingition sounds fine by the way. After a couple of tries, it finally cranked, and a HUGE ASS cloud of smoke white smoke came out the exuast, and some out of the engine bay, and it ran for a couple of seconds before it cut off. Then it took a couple of tries again to get it to crank for a couple of seconds again. After that it hasnt cranked since, well i really havent tried to crank it to much. But i dont know what the problem is, my freind said he cleaned the spark plugs. Well any help will be greatly appreciated.
