SLR's XterraSchludwiller 08-22-2001, 01:35 AM Spencer Low Racing sent me some shots of their Xterra. Hmmmm...the Bilsteins are gone. Wonder what those chrome shocks are? Schludwiller 08-22-2001, 01:36 AM Actually the shot of the shocks are on this one. Schludwiller 08-22-2001, 01:37 AM Sure is dry in Arizona. I haven't seen a differential that clean since ChuckH's. :D ChuckH 08-22-2001, 01:48 AM haha...funny! :finger: Are you sure those aren't just chromed Bilsteins? I bet they are. I'm glad SLR is developing stuff, but those bumper thingies they put on their X are really horrible looking and probably not that sturdy. What are they thinking? xoc 08-22-2001, 03:19 AM Those are still Bilsteins. The rear shackle is a new 1" to go with the SLR lift. I thought yellow Xterra guys couldn't get enough yellow stuff on their trucks. :D rhombus 08-22-2001, 11:19 AM Originally posted by ChuckH I'm glad SLR is developing stuff, but those bumper thingies they put on their X are really horrible looking and probably not that sturdy. What are they thinking? I think that they are more for racing over the desert and to stop the X from flipping forward/backward. I could be wrong though. ScottG 08-22-2001, 11:24 AM Yep, I think those are Bilsteins. I have seen those in some of the offroad magazines. I believe that they have a seperate reservoir that holds the shock's oil/gas. Those shocks are probably much more expensive than the Bilsteins we have been buying. I doubt that they are chrome. You guys think that everything that is'nt powder coated black is chrome :D wqbang 08-22-2001, 01:58 PM They look like the 7100 series Bilsteins: http://www.bilstein.com/products/7100page.html http://www.bilstein.com/products/art/7100shock.jpg Schludwiller 08-23-2001, 12:04 PM Nitrogen charged with a Schrader valve for variable nitrogen rates. Apparently the shocks are owner rebuildable and you can get different vaulving kits too. SLR carries them. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
