Trying to change out the plugs and wires on a 98 Plymouth GrandVoyager
the front three are simple enough but the back three is where I need help on!
Whats the best way to do the back three?

Lots of luck pal.

Have the same and last year did 4 out of 6. The 3 front and the 1 back one closest to driver. I have heard that you either have to have "really" skinny arms and go up underneath or take off the alternator and go thru that side.
GOOD LUCK..... mine runs fine on only 4 new ones.

Welcome to your first poston AF.
You picked a hard one there.
They are made just for the diehard DIY people.
Somtimes from under side. Sometimes from take alternator off and reach in there and sometimes take the wiper cowl off.
Easy way is to go to repair shop and say replace them. :rofl: :lol: :grinyes:

I second the easy way. It's got to be one of the top three PITA jobs on this van. I managed to change the back middle and driver side plugs from underneath. There's kind of a channel the exhaust and other crap runs through. I reached up through there. It was a reach and feel job cause they are out off sight. The passenger side back plug was had by rotating the alternator forward. I made the mistake of taking the wiper tray out but, it didn't do me any good. It's doable but, next time it's the easy way for me. (96GC)

OBTW - When I changed the plugs they had 116,000 miles on them. They looked like they could have done another 116,000.

Hi,
I just did it from underneath a month ago. It was hard and took a lot of patience but with a good extension and going slowly I did it. The torque was the one I could not verify, because there is no way to get a simple torque tool in there, but I just did it with care because the engine has aluminun threads, so be just careful when putting the new ones.

Let me tell you that it was a time I wanted to cry out, but I added good ilumination to see exactly where are they and finally I was able to replace them.
