04 oldsmobile alero cylinder 2 misfireknowledge1980 07-28-2006, 10:33 AM Hello everyone I been racking my brain trying to fix my car and it still acting the same. A week ago today my engine light came on and my car started driving rough so I assume I needed a tune up. I did the tune up and the engine light is still on and it still some what running and driving a little rough. I recheck all the wires and plugs and they are fine. I even bought a diagnostic reader and and when I did the test on my car it showed code p0137 and p0302 when i look up the codes p0137 it said something about 02 sensor low volt bank 2 and the other code is cylinder 2 misfire. Please help me out i'm like totally desperate and don't know what to do at this point. It's a 2004 oldsmobile alero v6 3.4 engine thank you in advance BNaylor 07-28-2006, 10:53 AM Welcome to AF. You need to get the 02 sensor problem resolved and it will probably take care of the misfire to Cylinder 2 due to a lean trim condition. P0137 is 02 circuit voltage low bank 1 sensor 2. This is the 02 sensor after the CAT convertor. The PCM has detected the 02 sensor circuit is shorted to low. It could be a bad 02 sensor or the wiring/electrical connector to it and back to the PCM module. knowledge1980 07-28-2006, 10:58 AM Ok Where can I find the 02 sensor bank 1 and 2. I think i know where is one of them it's in the back under the 3 sparks in the back if i'm right BNaylor 07-28-2006, 11:03 AM Ok Where can I find the 02 sensor bank 1 and 2. I think i know where is one of them it's in the back under the 3 sparks in the back if i'm right Bank 1, sensor 1, 02 sensor is located in the engine area by the firewall on the exhaust downpipe. 02 sensor bank 1 number 2 is on the output of the CAT convertor but before the resonator. You'll have to safely jack it up and crawl underneath to see it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
