I am having a problem with my 97 voyager, it periodically loses power to the instrument lights and the abs light comes on. After a little while everything powers back up but the check engine light comes on. Any Help would be appreciated.

With engine not running check nbattery voltage (should see 12.0VDC) with engine running check voltage (alternator) and should see about 14.1 VDC. A bad alternator or voltage regulator can set off the elcectricls to include the ABS. How old is the serpentine belt on the car?

It's a loose connestion in the inst pannel. My 98 does the same thing. I get it a good pound on the top of the dash above the indt pannel. I need to remove the inst cluster & clean the connections to remove the oxidation at the contacts.

This might sound funny but I had a similar problem in mine. Took the car to the shop and it was an electrical short caused by pennies inserted through the cd player. They replaced a shorted board and no problems since. After that I had a serious talk with my 3 year old boy.:nono:
