This is a very stupid question but if anyone could suggest something I would appreciate it. My first vehicle is a 1991 Buick Regal Gran Sport, beautiful car, I am absolutely in love with it and I don't want to get another one so please don't suggest I junk it. I got a decent price on my car, replaced the gas tank, fuel pump, coil pack and module board, cam sensor and crank sensor and the wiring harness, I also had the exhaust replaced. In all about $1500. Well, I have learned my lesson about the macanic that I used and won't be returning. I brought my car home and made the appointment with the dealer for inspection and recalls to be done. I was finally just a step away from driving my beauty. The dealer calls me up and informs me that my mecanic should have told me not to put any money into my beauty due to the fact that the frame is starting to rust out and is slightly bent in one spot where the guy I bought it from had chained it down to the tow truck when I bought it. So once again, I spend my free time sitting my beauty thinking about ways to fix this problem so that I can drive it. This is my first car and I want to be able to drive it someday really soon. Is there any way to fix the frame or purchase a new frame? Have one custom made somewhere?? Any advice would be helpful. Remember, I am not going to junk it though!

Thanks

Welcome to AF.

What part of the frame? If you are referring to the subframe that holds the engine and transmission? That can be replaced in its entirety. You could get one from a salvage yard.

It took me a few phone calls but I have found a salvage yard with the pieces that I need! I will be able to drive my beauty soon. I can't wait!
