I hate wiring... I gave my car to a local shop to install my alarm.

you will be spending close to 400 dollars...

my suggestion is get The CLUB and bring your valuables into the house. get a cd player with detachable face.

yes viper alarm systems IMO are the best money can buy. a little expensive but alot less cheaper than having to replace stereo equipment, windows, other shit you have in your ride or even your car.

dont forget to take out those speakers, amp, new wheels, and the box or reeses pieces from your console.... ghetto kidlets spare nothing!

wiring an alarm really isnt that difficult, just time consuming if you havent played with wires... or your car before.

yes the only real purpose of the club is so that they cant steal the whole car. so taking everything inside with you isnt going to work. so your saying when i go to lets say dinner in the city, i should bring in all my stereo equipment and everything else worth money into the resaurant with me??:screwy: no thank you that wont work. thats why you have a nice alarm system.

when you go to dinner in the city, do you park in a dark alley or something?

i'm not saying alarms aren't useful, i'm just being rational.. they're overpriced.

unless you steal one.

unless you steal one.no i dont park in a dark alley im not that stupid. but its the city people there dont give a shit where you park. if they see something they want they'll get it. yeah i know alarms can be pricey but IMO i think there well worth it.

Doesn't matter where you are or what car you drive, I had my cd deck and sub box with two 10" subs stolen out of my mustang that was a POS except for the audio system, right outta my high school PARKING LOT, in broad DAYLIGHT in suburbia. I won't bother tricking out or adding things to any car unless I get an alarm first, you can't have anything nice nowdays without worrying about some f*ck stealing it. IMO alarms are well worth the money, mine was only so much because of everything else it does, but you should be able to get just an alarm and installed for around 2-300. And I def. think everyone should get one mainly because nowdays people = shit.

these mexicans want civics and camrys and what not, they don't really mess with american cars...

most people have their systems stolen by their neighbors or friends, thats what happens when you show it off.

and the club does nothing, i could show you in 30 seconds how to pop one off, and no I do not steal cars

ok seriously.....................

use hex screws for your speakers and amp, get 2 sets of wheel locks, and disable the trunk pop button.

meanwhile they use a crowbar to bend the back seat down, or pop the trunk open and hack the shit out of your ride to get everything out. im not a pro crook but im sure there are ways to steal wheels that are locked... hell i take my steering wheel in the house with me but im sure someone out there has a universal quick hub thatll work just fine in my car.

you must live in hollywood or something. if you have crap in your car it dont matter if you have it bolted down, ghetto kidlets will get it out, and if they cant they will destroy your car in the process of trying. there is no way you can bolt down every single valuable in your vehicle it not feasable. people are willing to steal anything and everything.

alarms are a worthy investment even if your running stock everything, as long as the car is worth more than a bigmac and fries. not only is it a deterrant, but its a friggin nice warning for when some nugget is rummaging through your shit looking for any bottle of tic tacs you left in your car while your watching the facts of life.

Cavalier2000

as long as your alarm has a battery back up. it's to easy to crawl under a car and cut wires

as long as your alarm has a battery back up. it's to easy to crawl under a car and cut wires
its easy to wire an alarm so that crawling under the car and cutting wires does nothing but look like they accomplished something, unless you have sphagetti arms and can weave all the way up and cut all the wires at the battery terminal without touching anything so not to set the alarm off. proximity and laser sensors are pretty cheap to install now too they can help elimiate issues as such.

if there are 2 cars on the road, 1 with alarm and 1 not... the crook will choose the unalarmed car 8.5/10 times and the other 1.5 times they were to dumb to check for it.
