Wheel bearing or CV joint or ???

I have a squealing sound coming from my front driver side wheel. It only squeals when I am backing up. At low speeds I hear what I can only describe as a "clicking" noise, like ball cards on a bike tire, something like that. My pads and rotors are all new are close to it. So its definitely not that. It also seems that where the front axle shaft goes into the "whatever" the boot leaks that special grease right around where the stainless steel band is that keeps the boot on, but both sides are leaking it while only the driver side is squealing and clicking. MT jhong1226 07-23-2006, 12:27 AM If you are going to change the cv axles, you might as well change the bearing. it cost about 10 to 15 dollars anyway, so might as well do it then. What bearing only costs $15??? Not a wheel bearing for sure. Those are at least $60 out of the box and that is with an associate price for me. jhong1226 07-23-2006, 08:24 PM oh, the price i was lloking at was for a 2wd. 4wd actually cost more coz it comes with the hub.
