97 Jimmy fuel pump pressuredchrist 07-22-2006, 12:12 PM OK heres the scoop, I have pulled the pump I installed last fall only to find out the internal fuel hose and nipple had come loose. Thinking I had to change or rebuild this pump I got a free rebuild kit from the vendor I bought this pump from last fall. I installed the kit and thought I would epoxy the nipple to its seat to prevent this from happening again. I re installed the pump. This time it blew the hose off from the nipple, so I picked up some hose clamps and re installed the pump again. Now it blew the hose and nipple off again. I don't understand what is causing this problem, any ideas....???? The fuel filter is new and when the truck runs it runs fine,no hesitation. Could this be a fuel pressure regulator issue or something similar???? And remember dealer oem parts only hurt one time. That aftermarket stuff can bit you in the rear many times. MT vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
