Passenger side lights out

Over the past week or so I've noticed that all of my passenger side lights are out with the exception of my headlight. All of the drivers' side lights are fine, although a month or two ago I did have to replace the front turn signal. The one person I've spoken to so far wants to run an expensive computer diagnostic on it to "Find the problem" I just want to fix it quickly and preferably by myself. Any clues or words of advice?

Welcome to AF.

What specific lights on the passenger side are out? Is it both front and rear? Have you tried replacing any lamps first? How about the brake lights?

Every light both front and back is out except for the headlight. Brake lights, turn signals, parking lights, the whole shebang. We tried replacing one light, but it didn't work, and upon closer inspection, we realized that there was nothing wrong with the first light. It has to be something else.

Ok, from what I can see the 12 volts via all of the fuses is good because one side of the lighting works so we can rule that out. There is only one component that is common with your problems. The multifunction switch (stalk) on the steering column. It appears to have several bad contacts. Everything you have out on that one side goes through it. Therefore, I would replace it.
