Volvo 850 timing belt life expectancy rnpatter 07-18-2006, 04:21 PM
I have a 1996 Volvo 850 with 125K miles on it. I just purchased it and I believe the timing belt was never changed. Any advice? Should I have it changed? What should I expect a shop to charge for this service? Thanks. ducoala 07-21-2006, 09:00 AM life of a timing belt is set to 80K clics. You should have it changed on a 850 'cause it's an interference motor. Seals, bearings and belt is about 6o$ labou is about 6 hours. TheMan5952 10-27-2006, 02:23 PM about every 65,000 miles. More if you like to redline the car alot. Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
