Hi Guys. My 1998 Sunfire 2.2 started to blow warm air. I bought a recharge kit. Tested the pressure first. Pressure was 100 psi on low side so I did not add refigerant. Instead I brought it into a shop today. They inspected, pressured & vacuumed, leak tested and recharged the system.
Diagnosis: Bad A/C Compressor.
They want to replace the compressor and the receiver drier as well for a total of $1150.00 US. - Does this sound like an accurate diagnosis and price?

HELL NO THAT IS A TOTAL RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can get a used ac cpmpressor from the junkyard for about 100.00 at most...god the nerve of some shops...
