So me and my dad are coming back from costco, which was a pretty humorous expirence so far (check my sig) and we are driving on hwy 37 in my moms 91 accord ex 4dr. My dad tries to merge onto an exit and some lady in a benz suv wont let him over so he floors it and cuts in front of her, she tosses up the finger and he throws up his hands (his way of saying what the hell) So anyway we are now driving through the "crest" in vallejo when we hit a light. The lady in the benz cruises up next to us and throws up the finger again then revs on us. I begin laughing cause what kind of idiot throws revs in an SUV, specially a POS luxury one like the benz (or lexus RX300, or Bmw X5 for that matter) and so she takes off hella fast and im still laughing. About 10 mins later (we are now on hwy 29 near american canyon) my dad spots a cop in the rearview. He pulls over and the cop flies past us. About 5 mins later we come to an accident, the benz ran a red and t-boned a semi, luckily the lady was unhurt. Just goes to show how bitchy old ladies in benses (or suv's in general) are.

I know this isnt a street race but oh well

wait.. this isnt funny, its sad when shitaky like this happens for whatever reason. this is one of those moments that falls into that "what goes around comes around" categories. its unfortunate it came like that for the woman. oh well crap happens... such is life.

Some people with SUVs need to learn a lesson, especially these people that don't even need them, the ones that simply buy them for intimidation factor though they could never take the damn thing off road. They should call those sport useless vehicles because they have no utility.

Some SUV's would have given you a race in that. Our Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited according to Carstats.com does 16.3. And my Accord according to Carstats.com does 15.9 so watch out.

I know that Jeep GC's are fast though, my dad's boss has the 5.9 Limited, and that thing MASHES!

Yeah, the 5.9L does 0-60 in 6 seconds flat. Just wait until they put the new Hemi in them.

aheam....yes, its not really a big problem for me, I drive a boat. But for my mom in her geo, or when I drive it (like...never...should more, its fun) or DMC12 in his time machine, it can be a real problem when they try to act tough. Ive had them cus me out and try to litterally fight me because they almost hit ME! so i'm happy to hear she nailed a semi....also I hate feeders (traliors) because I load boxes into them every night. :bandit:

Yes, they are. The luxury suv's are built for the image and a normal car could go off road better than they could.

But 90% of suv's will never go there anyway.

Though few will admit it, many poseurs think that their SUV gives them a tough, independent image instead of the "soccer mom" or "married man" image of a minivan or wagon. While this might have been true a few years ago before this trend started, now an SUV screams "YUPPIE SUBURBAN FAMILY" just as much, if not more than a minivan or wagon. Admit who you are, and buy the vehicle best suited for your needs and not based on some silly trend.

Also, since most people here in the street racing forum are CAR enthausiast, SUV's are killing sports cars because all these idiots who have money go out and buy god damned suv's

i agree w/your point my friend. i totally agree, i don't understand why a person would buy an suv if they didn't have a big family and didn't go off road either. the thread i responded to said that the mercedes and lexus, etc. etc. were pos's. they're not. they may not be the right choice or even conventional, but they're definitely pos's. i don't u
