What could be causing my cruise control to automatically come on? It just started today and the light comes on, then my pedal starts going down. My car will stop if I hit the brakes. And, how much can I expect to pay to fix it? Thanks

Check the switches on the steering wheel, maybe they are gummed up with something or possibly broken.
