Problems with an 88 regalhoover50 07-11-2006, 05:19 PM Recently, the car has been been stalling and not wanting to start back up. When you try to start it the engine cranks but it usually won't fire. If it does fire it usually dies within a few seconds. If you let it sit for a long while you can sometimes get it to start, but it tends to die again upon any moderate acceleration. My first impression is that it might be a problem with the catalytic converter, but I really have no idea. maxwedge 07-11-2006, 06:14 PM Recently, the car has been been stalling and not wanting to start back up. Welcome to AF, If no idea here, maybe a shop is your best answer, I would check the fuel pressure first. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
