I have a 2005 e150 XLT (no tow package) and I want to wire the vehicle for a 7 way trailer connection. I found the connection under the dash for the brake controller. I also found a 4 pin connector on the drivers side frame rail. Ford has a wiring harness that can be purchase (about $60) that has 2 connectors a 4 ping and a 3 pin on one end, the other end is the 7 pin connector that attaches (using a bracket) to the back of the vehicle. Does anyone know if/where the 3 pin connector can be found? What else need to be done? Or perhaps where I can get a wiring schematic? Thanks

Do a web site search for trailer wiring harness wiring diagram. You might have a tool free number with your harness purchase. I think champion has diagrams. Look at a friends truck. My 1997 F-150 was factory wired. My 2000 silverado I had to run two hots back from the relay center. Blank spots for fuses with a connector were their. I ran a ground from the ground connection on the firewall. I think you will have to do the same type of wiring. I think 30 or 40 amp fuses were suggested. The other wires were handy on the back. Look around relay center for a similar setup.
