Want more info? www.jagsthatrun.com < this site will give you all the info on how to turn your lack-luster S10 Blazer into a Street/Strip monster.. by placing in a V8! -The Stig- 08-10-2002, 03:00 AM i guess i should of asked .. how fast do you want to go?!? haha speed has a limit, its limit is in dollar values. if you have a 4 banger, well think of a engine swap of something bigger like a 4.3liter Vortec V6 out of a crashed Blazer of newer years like.. 92-01 ahha... or if you want the big dog, go with the V8. A stock 350 should make 280hp - 330ft/lbs of tq. Thats enough to get you into the 15s.. 14s at best if you run some bigger tires.. with a Blazer.. at about 4000lbs you should be getting near 16mpg City with a stock 350. more you dump into the motor the smaller that number gets. i get about 10mpg.. 6 if i need to do a lateral acceleration contest with somebody.... hehehe. i've seen blazers run 10s in the quarter... albiet with drags and a wicked 400 small block. it did wheel stands! haha DeViL 08-10-2002, 04:11 AM Shit no way man don't give him an idea like that right off the bat. Thats going to end up being a little too much for him right away. How long have you been driving, it doesn't sound like a long time. Anyways what engine you got to start with, a 2.2(?) 4cyl or the 4.3 V6? -The Stig- 08-10-2002, 03:29 PM Originally posted by DeViL How long have you been driving, it doesn't sound like a long time. haha is that to him or me? for an unexperianced driver a big V8 would most likely get him into trouble... that is to say if he is an unexperianced driver. If so, no matter what do an engine swap. DeViL 08-11-2002, 02:19 AM Was talking to lil_q. A boost from probably around 160 hp to 290 or even 350 would could end up being too much too fast. If he knows how to handle his vehicle well then yeah go ahead and do it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
