I have a 1987 dodge ram 50 with a 2.6L. It started smoking bad when you start it up and keeps getting worse. When you take the oil fill cap off air pressure comes out of it. Would it be stuck ring or missadjusted valve? It is pushing oil through the vaccum lines.

replace the pvc valve, ckeck that the pvc valve is getting good suction from the intake manifold. Also check that the hose leading from the valve cover to the air cleaner is clear. Are you getting any oil in the air filter?
