I need helprosebrady 07-05-2006, 08:47 AM I have a KIA 2000 Sportage. I went to KIA and had the timing belt replaced like they said. The car started squeling and I was having a hard time turning corners when in nuetral. Took it back they could not get it to squel. But they did tighten the belts. Steering was ok for a while and squel left for a day. Next day started squeling again and on and off having a hard time with turning in nuetral. POwer steering fluid is fine and KIA said all the belts were fine and not worn. Anyone have any help with this problem?:disappoin e_powers 07-05-2006, 09:50 AM well if the belts are not loose, then they maybe glazed over(made slippery because of original loose condition). if they are not glazed over. , then your powersteering pump is going. just for good measure change the belts. then get powersteering pump changed. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
