:swear: just thought id let u guys know about a little theivary that happened to my camaro. im getting the rear quarter dents and 2 holes fixed and painted at this guys house that lives near me. well, turns out that partying kids last night wanted to be jerks, break into his garage and steal his paint equipment and tools, and steal my deck, and kicker ds-60's, as well as the keys to my car that he left on the seat. im so pissed off right now that its kinda hard to describe how i feel, and since its the 4th of july, nothing can get done :banghead: . but let me just say i have an idea who the kids are, and that makes me a little happier.

That really sucks, but it could be worse. They could have just stolen the car itself. Just be thankful that THAT didn't happen.

Very agreed. They are fools if they didnt try to take the Camaro, but thankfully that is for the best.

Seems like you'll have to change out your car's ignition thing.. (Forgot the name, but where your key goes into) if you dont have an extra.

The only thing they must have feared was waking somebody up. Now if you leave it unattended during the day, they'll try to take it for sure. Get something done!

Sounds like it's time to call a locksmith.

I don't know if I would say they are fools for not taking the camaro... a Camaro is a lot easier to find and a lot easier to prove proper ownership then other things. The Camaro could have lowjack on it or something and it would lead right to them. It sounds like they weren't in a career of crime, but some punk kids who saw a quick buck.

Also he won't have to replace the tumbler if it is the original one. The dealership can cut one from the VIN for about $30.

I agree with everyone here. That really sucks man. I have had a few things stolen from me from time to time and everytime it makes me want to cause some serious violence to some dumb ass thieves.

no, what i meant by that was, if they had stolen it, it would have been found fairly easily, by sight and by sound. but yeah, i found out today my insurance is going to cover almost everything, new locks, keys, stereo, etc. so thats good news, now its just working with the police to find out who did it.

i have coverage of theft, we talked to the insurance company, they said everything will be paid for with a $100 deductible, which will be paid for by the mechanic whose house it was robbed at, so things are looking up. for the time being i just need to park another car behind mine in the driveway to make sure no one drives off with it.

good thing u had coverage. my car was keyed by some kid and i had no comp coverage. i did beat the shit out of him and that made me feel all better. but anyway, i would replace ur ignition switch asap. that way, if they come back to take the car, the original keys will not work and u may catch them in the act. i agree, there are too many ass holes in this world that like mess with people's shit.
