I got them about a week ago from Mr.Bodykit (PMP) and they work incredibly great. we were in a parade yesterday and we drove with the doors up, you should have heard the comments. you can lift them with a pinky and are rigid enough not to sway in the wind. you have to roll the fender which is fine with me and it was DEFINATLY worth the money.

it goes out to the first notch before it goes up, plenty of room.

as you can see that both the back and front of the door is flush and smooth

i said this in the paragraph above.. nope they don't even shake in the wind, but if you wanted to, you could wobble them just a tiny bit.

going up and down is as smooth as silk and as light as a feather, no complaint here

acually if anything was to be changed would be better pistons because its kinda hard to pull down and push up while inside the car, still though, i have no problem with it. i think its like that because theres nothing on the door panel far enough up to grab to pull down.

Those are pretty cool. I'm hoping they start to make the kits for the earlier models like the 5.0s. I talked to a company in Tulsa and it's only about $800 for the whole thing which isn't bad I think.

i think lambo doors for the elders would be awsome.. the kit that i got was around $1700 then because i live in canada the prices start to stack up.. so + brokerage + PST+ GST ect. and in the end came to a total around $3000

i was looking at the ones from autoloc, the automatic ones, and there were tons of problems like if the battery dies.. you can't open the doors, or if you lose the remote.. ouch, and you can't open them manually only by remote, and that made me mad so my garage buddy said try PMP (pure mustang proformance) they work insanely good with little custom work.

I would go to desiel shop and pick up a penumatic soliend and an actuator then head to radio shack and get a remote kit. That way you could add a automatic open function but still retain the ability to open by hand if something goes wrong.

Or just do like I had to do when one of our workers had gotten the magnetic door locks stuck on his Benz when the battery died...crawl through the trunk.

Hey any problems in different climates? I was told by a friend who installed them on a differrent car that in the summer the door were easy to open but a tad bit tought to close and the opposite in the winter or vise-versa (colder weather).

Hey!

well.. I haven't had them long enough to see the effects of winter but the whole season i have it sitting in the garage so I probadly take it out and see, just to experiment, very interesting though.

the hinges are starting to break threw and not being as hard to open anymore and still works like a charm.

im going to the local car show tomorrow to show it off.. last week for some reason it was the star of the show, i have no idea why, there were at least 80 cars (which is preaty good for a small town like mine) including a mustang with a $80K chassis alone on it. the doors are preaty "unique" in my town, just us and a *cough* *cough* real crappy neon with a flip-flop trunk that has the gullwing doors.

Did you install the kit yourself or pay for installation? I was thinking of buying a vertical door kit but was pretty skeptical to all the different brands, that and i hate having to pay for anything to be installed. Just x-tra $$$ i could have used for more goodies. :)

hey.. its me, they came from PMP (pure mustang performance) and for me it was a pain because i live in Canada and i had duty and crap but if you live in the states they're 1600 without shipping ect. from www.mrbodykit.com (http://www.mrbodykit.com) and installation was easy as hell, they're not 100% bolt-on, you have to roll the fender just a bit.. nice thick heavy hinges, this is the only company i would buy it from! instructions are great! unfortunatly you have to take off the doors, hinges, fenders, headlights, and front bumper . any info please ask me!

Why is your user name different than the post with the yellow Stang? Also, why cant i order the PMP kit from pure mustang performance and not mrbodykit.com?

well before me and my brother shared an acount so now we have seprate ones.. im the younger one :icon16: hes the one with the cars, although i don't think hes on this forums anymore :\

anyhow... it's a retailer so they won't sell to indivieuals, only to companies like Mr. Bodykit

although i have heard ONE person say this is okay :
http://www.airbagit-store.com/product_list.asp?id=2481

besides that don't buy from any universal company like Lambo doors inc. the bolts break and they are so cheap, a neon in town has them.. just don't buy them

ill still be glad to help you anwser any questions..

now all you need is to have the hood open from the front like a vette, that would look sweet.

i was seariously thinking about that.. and make it so that its automatic or something, good idea!

i have a big booklet and about 10 pages full of stuff i wanted to do to it.

what do you think of having the motorized TV go along with an automatic flip flop trunk in one button
