I have an amp sitting under my rear window and if my car sits in the sun the amp gets so hot i can't touch it and wont work. Does anyone know if they make a shade I can put in my rear window like the ones that unfold and go in my front window?

82-92 camaros and firebirds had option for a factory rear shade. You might be able fo find one second hand, or maybe get one new from a pontiac dealership.

Yea, both are good suggestions there. If you dont like the tinted look they have tint that is more or less clear or factory looking(not too dark) that blocks out the sun and heat real well. Dark tint doesnt keep out heat anyway...it just looks cool.

How much does the window tint cost? Is there any kind of paint that is UV reflective that I could paint the amp with?

Why not put your amp in the little key entry storage bin way in back on the drivers side ? My amp used to sit in the back glass like i imagine yours is. Then my hard-headed neibor said if somebody wanted to steal it all they would need is a rock. Then i got all paranoid and decided to find a place to hide it. I dont recall my amp ever getting hot enough to shut down on me tho. On your question about cooling the amp, I use small DC computer type fans on the inside covers of my home stereo to keep it cool. I dont see why you couldnt come up with some kind of fan system for it. Might be able to buy some kind of kit maybe. Here's a pic of where my amp used to be. Kinda hard to tell where the pictures at if you dont have a T/A.

The key entry storage is too small I think but the fan idea sounds like a good one.
