I was wondering, what size rim do you like?KhmerLaoster 08-06-2002, 09:26 PM So what size rim do you like, 15" rims or 17" rims? I like 17" rims. superjens 08-06-2002, 10:41 PM No option for 16"? Or my personal favourite 22"? bling bling rrdstarr 08-06-2002, 10:51 PM WHy offer us only two choices? You didn't mention if they are to be used offroad or not? Personally, 15's are the best! The more rubber you can get between the ground and the rim the better for offroad! Schludwiller 08-07-2002, 07:56 PM The only thing I heard as a possible benefit to the 16" wheels was there was more space for crud to clean it'self out between the wheel and the brake drum over th 15" wheel. I still prefer the 15 though. Schludwiller 08-07-2002, 07:57 PM Originally posted by superjens No option for 16"? DeFibVT 08-11-2002, 06:16 AM I would vote the same. 15" rims are less prone to damage from potholes in my city. GBIZZLE 10-01-2004, 04:29 PM I like the look of the SC 17' on my granite X but for offroading and having to buy tires I prefer my 15" black steelies, I looked for offroading tires for my 17s and they were hella expensive, compared to my 15' steelies. OffroadX 10-04-2004, 01:44 PM 15", I got no need for showing off or paying through the nose for the same size tire with a bigger hole in the middle. Not many realize it, but the Xterra forum here at AF is actually the "board" for www.xterra4x4.com and most of us here are into off-road-related discussion, not posing our "rims" around on the street. ScottyB1 01-11-2006, 04:43 PM I just traded my '02 for an '05 and wound up with 17" wheels (SE pkg) and street tires. I began to look for off road tires and I agree with some earlier comments, they are very limited and expensive. I would like to get a set of the 16" wheels that they have on the Off Road pkg. but I'm sure I would get screwed on that trade. If you know anyone that wants to trade some 16s for some 17s let me know. Oh yeah, I vote for 15" wheels as the best alternative. I loved the steel ones I had on my '95 Hardbody. I miss that ol' truck... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
