My friend has this older 4 cylinder Buick Century, and it died on him, it's turning over strong, but his oil was low, so we put some more oil in there, and then still no go, so I started checking the ignition system and it seems to have no spark, I tried to get it to arc over to some metal and no go, so it I was wondering if it was some kind of fuse, but we checked every fuse in his fuse box in the glove compartment.

Is there some where else the fuse would be? Also is there some kind of better way to text the car getting spark other then unplugging the cable and trying to get it to arc to a ground?

Or is it possibly some other problem? I know the car hasn't hand any mantance done to it in over 6 years. I mean the oil change was last done in 2003.

Possible crank sensor or ign module are the usual culprits here.

sounds like ignition module, inexpensive thing to try is get a used one from auto wreckers, they call it a coil pack here, they leave the coils on it and if it's not that at least you have a spare one
