i went to the fastest street car in britain shoot out. the car i was involved with was the 620 bhp Escort Cosworth. there was a R33 Skyline running 714bhp there that won the drag event. Can someone work out the 1/4 mile time for these following cars as i dont really know how to do it properly


Drag event:

1st....R33: 1/2 mile=11.97 secs
1.5 mile terminal speed=196.4mph

2nd....Escort Cosworth: 1/2 mile=12.40 secs
1.5 mile terminal speed=179mph

thanks, and if any of you want to see pictures and/or videos of the event then please ask. there were R34's, R33's, Evo Makinens, evo 7;s, Impreza Sti's, Type Rs, RB5's, Vipers etc present.

how much horsepower did the R34 have?

i think there were 3 R34's all done by the same tuning comapny (Abbey Motorsports if you know it) that were all dyno'd at 650hp. The only one who could launch properly was driving the 714bhp R33 though, so the R34's werent brillaintly fast. the car in my avatar is one of the R34's that was there. ill post the time sheets for the whole field as soon as i get it.
