I'm considering trading my 98 Firebird in for a 95-97 Trans Am (I want a V8). The only thing I don't like about the older models is the tail lights...does anyone here know where I can find a tail light cover or something to make the tail lights a bit less plain looking.

Also, would you consider trading for an older model T/A if you were in my shoes. I love my Firebird but I've driven an LT1 1996 WS6 Firebird Formula and I must say it feels very nice...

I got my tail light covers off eBay. Cost about $40 or so. You can either get those or a can of spray paint called Nightshade that does the same thing, goes on black but yet still shows through. It actually looks really good on the LT1 tail lights. Just be careful with where you live, some cops can be real dicks about it, others won't even notice. I know I've only been pulled over once for mine, and the cops just gave me a lecture on them and how they're hard to see at night (which is BS).

Could you possibly give me a link to the tail light covers. I've seen a lot of aftermarket tail light covers on different cars around here but I don't know who makes them.

Here's a couple links:

Just search on eBay for "Firebird Tail light covers"

I got mine from www.lmperformance.com, but for camaro of course. And if you don't like the white lettering on the covers, just heat them up with a blow dryer and peel those things right off.
