I don't know if it's been asked, but does anyone know the avereage lifespan milewise of a Firebrd V6 and a Trans Am V8?

I'm figuring $8,999 for 120k miles is alot for a 2001 Trans Am?

Any input! Thanks

my 88 trans am, had over 180K on the clock and it was just burnig oil on the start up only.. (plus the odometer broke somewhere along the way so i prolly had 200K++) im not sure if the engine was rebuilt tho.

120K is when things start to die on F-bodies..
like.. the optispark.. (mainly) ive heard the starters go too. thats basically it, (From what ive heard/experienced)

a 01 trans am in good shape btw, with 40-50K miles goes for 13+ easily..

my 97 with 105K miles, i bought it for 6.9K.. it was in pretty good condition, but not perefct. (body wise)

Yes, $8,999 is quite a bit for 120k mi...Look on autotrader.com...you should be able to find a Trans Am with 80-100k miles for about $9,000. You might have to do a nationwide search though.

BTW...My dad bought his Trans Am from a guy who lives in our town. We found his car on Autotrader...I highly recommend using autotrader for finding used cars.
