SLP Loudmouth on an 87' ?

Is it possable to get the loudmouth on an 87 with a small block? If so do yous think it would sound alright.
So far ive gotten borla full catback, and the flowmaster catback, and another lesser known cat that was to long ago to remember, so far none of them have been loud enough for my likeing so im thinking of going with the slp if its possable to get it on a 3rd gen.
Any input?

It's very possible, any muffler shop can do that pretty cheap.

you had the borla and it wasnt loud enough?? did you have it fully open?

Yes, i had it fully open, and it still sounded pretty lame, it sounded nice and deep and all just quiet as all hell, i dont have any headers or anything like that on yet, but i mean with a $800 catback youd think it would still be pretty nice without other stuff yet
I just want something loud...

it is nice. who said that good had to be loud? if you want loud, buy a $150 electric cutout.

Gets some longtubes and the loudmouth resonator and the stainless mandrel bent pipes...if thats not enough....longtubes and header dumps....other than that youd have to get a bigger motor....

put delta flow race mufflers on they r not to loud at low speeds but when you mash.n the gas they r loud as hell

3rd and 4th gens have very similar exhaust routing, and any muffler shop that knows their head from their ass can make one work on the other... you have 1 cat or 2? if 1 cat then get an LT1 style, if 2 cat LS1 style.


Camaromaniac, the borla catback essentially is a big cutout... it's adjustable meaning you can control how much of the exhaust goes thru the muffler and hwo much goes basically straight out and avoids the muffler
