Does anyone have a recommendation for upgrading the brakes on my vehicle. I've got the stock wheels with front discs and rear drums- I'm assuming this upgrade would only pertain to the front discs. I'd like to upgrade the rotors calipers and pads - and the master cylinder if needed to give me better stopping power when towing my 4500 lb. boat. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you change your wheels to 18's you can go with the Baer brake upgrade. You can upgrade just your rotors or both rotors and calipers. No need to change your master cylinder. And if you want better pedal feel upgrade to stainless steel brake lines. I upgraded my 04 Denali brakes with Baer calipers and rotors on all four wheels about 2 years ago and my truck can stop on a dime.

If you can't upgrade your wheels you can try using better brake pads and stainless steel lines to help your stopping. Also you can check out stop tech brakes. They may have a kit where you can keep your stock wheels.

Good Luck
