I just bought a 92 Camaro RS with the 3.1 and a 5 spd. So far im gettin 30mpg with it on the highway I dont know what these cars get so I dont know if thats good or bad. I had a 86 Firebird with the 2.8 and a 5 spd but the engine didnt hold together long enough for me to figure out the mileage.
Is there any common problems with the Camaro I should watch for in the future I think the car has around 157,000 miles but I heard the kid that had it repainted the car and rebuilt the engine, So I dont know how many miles are on it.
Here is a picture of the Camaro, as a warning the pic is kind of large sized.

Nice car, the 3.1 is alot better than the 2.8 from what i have seen. Just watch for common stuff like the ignition, chargeing stuff, etc.

Nice Camaro and congrats.. also 30 MPG highway is really good.

If the guy rebuilt the engine hopefully it'll be a while till problems start popping up.

Thanks for the comments, so far I have found that the fan on the radiator does not work, the rear hatch pull down motor doesnt work either, and it has an issue with ground clearance, but other than that I like it.

3rd gens are notorious for the fans not working. I couldn't count how many friends I've had with toggle switches ran to their fans on 3rd gens.

hmm my rear hatch puller thing didnt work when i had my 88 too. some idiot broke the whole assembly, prolly trying to force it down when the power wasnt on.. so i just bolted the damn thing to the frame. it works..except you dont get the cool automatic action. (oh, they also broke the lead screw..)
