blinker problems

i think i know whats wrong, i just want to run it by some of you guys and see if you agree. My left blinker works as it always has however my right blinker blinks once then just stays on. It does this inside and outside the car. I feel as if i need to replace the actual blinker, kind of like a fuse. However my friend who thinks he is mr. goodwrench made me second guess myself and told me it could be the actual blinker switch, which is connected to handle, might need to be replaced. All my lights do work so its not an issue with that.

sounds like a blown bulb have you checked all your lights lately? if there working then yea its probally just a fuse

Could be a ground wire, flasher as you said,or a bulb like 79 bandit said.

Mine did that and it was the actual switch. Sometimes they would blink, other times the lights would stay constantly lit with no blinking, on the passenger side with the switch in the up position. i changed the flasher, then the front and rear light wire systems including sockets. The system still had the problem so somtimes i had to "blink it myself" by clicking the switch up and down.

When i lost my keys, I changed the entire steering column out and put another one in its place. When i put the column in, it fixed the problem blinker i had spent hours trying to fix.

sounds like blinker switch.. switch is burnt or about to burn or something.. l dont think it is about fuse, because if anything would have happened to the fuses blinkers wouldnt work at all...

let us know what the actual reasion is.

it was a combination of the actual flasher and a burnt out blinker. funny thing is my right side light went out after i fixed the blinker issue. hopefully i dont have a wiring problem!

l had the same problem.. my front pas. side blinker switch burnt and my rear one stopped blinking.. all the power went to rear blinker and it couldnt blink. and l bought aftermarket switch for $4.99 (dealer's was $65.00) and l installed it and it works perfect now!
