A friend of mine just bought a 2000 Saab 9-3 Viggen Coupe for $6,600. It's yellow and has 100,000 miles on it. I was wondering if anyone could help me with the production numbers of the yellow 3-Door. I know total Viggen production for 2000 was only 1,000 models and this is the first yellow one I have ever seen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

hmm, ive seen a few yellow verts, but hardtops are much rarer, i know for fact the only made 400 viggens in 1999, and only 5 of those didnt come with a sunroof, if you pals doesnt have a sunroof then he has a very rare car, he also got one of the best deals ive heard of on it.....

That is one hell of a deal. Even with 100000 miles it would have sold for double that no problem. Especially since somewhere around 68 was total yellow production, some were 1999's that were track only cars for the "Viggen Flight Academy." Only blue was public in 1999. Monte Carlo Yellow, as the color is named, is probably the most sought after color by Saab enthusiasts, next to Lightning Blue. I think most yellow were the 3doors, but some were 5door and convertibles.
