Yeah hi my name is David my brother currently just had a 96 tahoe and he pimped it and i guess got tired of it and gave it to me as a first car i wanna put a lowering kit on it beacuse the 20's arent cutting it anymoe , i wanna go for anything around a 3/3.5 3/4 if i have to i have the money but i dont know any were that sells it and wat i need as the title says am new at this but what i need is like how many coils and shocks and honger and stuff i need also if i put a lowering kit will it mess up my handaling on my car or what not please someone help :/

i have a 2000 tahoe old body style lowered 4/4. i have 2" spindles and 2" springs in the front and 2" shackles and 2" leaf springs in the back. Belltech parts from jegs. My truck is 2wd by the way. If u have 4x4 u have to go with torsion keys up front. The only problem with mine is that the 20x9 rims rubbed the fenders up front. i had to beat the fender lips flat. no problem now. it handles like a sports car and doesnt ride too bad. it is a little bouncy in the back when u have like 3 people back there. hope i answered your question.
