The ABS Control Module on a 97 Ford Winstar?

A Mechanic friend told me it is under the drivers side attached to the frame, I looked, ands I cna not locate it. Anyone know where it is located? I need to replace it and I do not want to pay $$$$ to simple attache and plug in a part.

On my 2000, the ABS module is under the van, basically underneath the driver's seat. It has a plastic cover, so it's not immediately obvious.

I don't know its location in a 1997 - but you should be able to follow the brake lines from the master cylinder; they'll lead right to the ABS module.

Note that the ABS module has both electrical and hydraulic brake line connections - so there's a bit more to replace it than just plugging in a part.
