I've purchased a new camshaft position sensor (to fix a faulty one) and a new value cover gasket for my 99' 4cyl 2wd Rodeo. My brother is helping me with the repair and installation this Thursday. Does anyone have any tips or last minute considerations before we open the hood?

FYI Update: Everything went well and I haven't seen my CEL for a week. The car also finished its drive cycle and I was able to pass my emissions test prior to the deadline.

Cool! You do often hear of that sensor going bad on the 1998+ 2.2L. You probably know this by now, but check and replace the timing belt OFTEN on your 2.2L. One of the idlers (IIRC) is known to get wobbly, at which point the T-belt will pop off causing the pistons to smash your intake valves.:banghead:
