93 grand Am. Were is fan relay? Sprint45 06-20-2006, 05:07 PM
Have a 93 grand am that the cooling fan would not turn on. Hot wired the fan and it works fine. Gauges all work so sensors are probably fine. Were is the relay though? would like to check it but can't find it in the engine. 93 Grand AM Auto/ 4 Cyl. Quad Four anyone know its location or something I'm missing. Problem just started after replacing the heater core and before the system was totally bled. xeroinfinity 06-20-2006, 07:29 PM Not sure exactly, but thiers a bunch of relays on the firewall under the hood. Might say Fan relay on it. Check the inside fuse box, by the hood release, may be a fuse in there too..... But looking at a wiring diagram, it has two red leads going in from a fused link, which is constant power. coming out of the relay is a dark green wire going to the engine control syst, and lastly the light blu wire that goes to the fan itself. Not that all that helps, but if you see one of those relays on the firewall with a drk green and light blu wire and two reds, then thats most likly the one. Hope this helps ! done a search, this was discussed here, http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=580351 bjobotts 10-12-2006, 11:59 AM Hello. This probably too late but the fan relay is on the firewall center. Go to www.autozone and click on repair info and enter info for 93 grand am and a repair manual will come up and the location for the fan relay is 'pictured' in there somewhere along with sensors and other relays. For future reference maybe. Hope this helps Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
