brake problem i think?????

So here's my prob......I have a 91 t-bird v6 3.8 (thats not the prob lol) ,and somtimes when i hit the brake's , it feel's like the car jerks forward and I also hear and feel a loud knock ??.....I remember reading something on here the other day about a bare spot in the rotor or some crap like that ......:confused:...any info on this would be helpfull........thanks

it sounds to me like your front struts are weak. push down on the front of the car a few times to get the suspension working. once you stop if the car doesnt stop bouncing right away you can bet the front struts are weak and need replacing.

i had an explorer that had the same problem, the rear drum brakes just needed to be adjusted. theres a small wheel towards the bottom of the drum facing the axle that adjusts the distance the shoes are from the drum itself. back it off a little bit, maybe a 1/4 turn, maybe a half and see if that makes a difference
