Hey guys i've been gone for a while because i was on vacation...anyway...
My car was having the dreaded headlight motor problem and just ordered a new motor got back in town excited to close the eyes and it did not work. There must be a relay or a switch so im wondering if anyone knows were it is located.
ONe goes up and down like everything is fine but the other does not attempt to spin the motor.

Before doing anything else, check the plug connections between the chassis harness and the headlight assembly. I have seen several of those get coroded and not work.

If that's not it, check to see if you have both battery voltage and ground coming into the motor connector, if not, then it could be the headlight controller. Its a 5 - 6 inch square black box, mounted behind the drivers side headlight assembly inside the engine compartment. Should have two plug connectors attached to it.

Good luck,

I did not find any corroded cables everything looks as if it was in good shape.
About this contorller first of all i cant find it because im not sure where it is and there really isnt anything behind the headlight did u mean behing and under ?
Dont the headlights share controllers because one of my headlights is working fine?
Is there a relay swicth anywere?
By the way there is power at the plug that connects to the headlight i checked it with a fuse tester?

The plug buck6680 was refering to is the one that connects to the headlight motor, not the headlight bulb ... just to make sure thats cleared up.

As for your problem, check the voltage at the motor plug, make sure its there when it should be, if it is then you probably got a bad motor, if you don't have voltage i'd trace those wires and clean all connections .... seems like they should use one control module (but I don't know for sure). test your motor by plugging it into the other side (yeah its a lot of work to tear apart both sides, but its worth it to know for sure ....

If you have gears strip out i'd replace them with these gears http://my.execpc.com/C4/4A/rodney1/firebird/
I put them in mine and everything is good now, the only problem I had was the cover poping back off after I glued them back on, small home made bracket to hold the cover on and were back in business though.

If your motor is bad and the new one isn't guarenteed ... like if you got an e-bay motor ... and the old motor is good just has a stripped gear ... combine the two to make one good motor, the motor comes off just like a power window motor. hope you get it all figured out!

alright there is volatage at the plug but the motor is not spinning and when i plug into the other side it does spin...
This module thing or controller are they independent(one for each side)?

Were are these module/controller and what do they look like?
