Hey Guys,

It gives be a heavy heart to come before you today to tell you that I am no longer the proud owner of a 94 Camaro. I had to make a more practical decision because of my job, and traded in my Camaro for a brand new 2006 Hyundai Sonata. Although my new car is very nice, I already miss the camaro it was very depressing cleaning all of my stuff out of it today before I traded it. Hopefully I have not let too many of you guys down with my actions, and I hope I am still welcome here in the camaro section of AF. Later CRSweet94.

Of course you're still welcome, hell, you have to do what you have to do in this economy.

Why a Hyundai though? Should've kept it with GM.. but congrats on the new purchase anyway.

Hyundai, believe it or not has actually become a pretty decent brand. I have looked at several of them that people have gotten, and I'm impressed.

And, if it makes ya feel any better, I took delivery of my Corolla today

NEVER be ashamed of doing what is right for you. Be happy you had the balls to do it.

Welcome to the world of maintenance free vehicle ownership... for a while anyway - excluding oil changes though.

(If I had to rely on MY maro for daily transportation... I would have never bought it.)

And when I ever get the trans parts in, that sumich is gonna be kicking ass all over the street. :grinyes: (If I can afford to keep the tank full, that is.) :shakehead

I know how you feel Jim.. I know EXACTLY how you feel.. right now if I go out I see my Camaro with half the paint gone and half of it green and I feel sad.. but its almost done.. I just bought some more supplies and it should be done in good time by this weekend.. matter of fact I washed it today so all the paint that I sanded off got off of the Camaro where it was going to be sanded next..

I chose the Hyundai because of the price for a new one (really cheap with all the rebates) and you can't beat their damned warranty ANYWHERE. 10 yr 100,000 miles on drive train, 5 yr 50,000 bumper to bumper. DAMN! My only problem now is that this is the first time I have ever had a loan for anything, and it feels weird being in debt...

HEH! Give yourself some time brother... and a wife and some kids and a house.... You'll get to be like the rest of us, all nestled up in TONS of debt. Gets to be like a security blanket. IE- You know you're wife ain't gonna try to kill you b/c she needs you to pay all the loan and credit card payments. :grinyes: :shakehead

Jim, that is a rather disconserting thought. But I suppose it makes sense, she can't murder you until you've worked long enough to pay off all the bills.

Rally Jim is going to sick Earl on you.

I do have a question and I am not trying to act like quick here and hijack the thread. My gf is looking for a new car, what does the Hyundai's run?

The sticker on mine was 21,495 I think. After rebates and other stuff it was about 17,500. I didn't think it was too bad of a price and it is a really nice car, plus the warranty is pretty unbelievable.

^^ my brother was all about "keeping it in the family" meaning always having GM cars... until the dealership refused to replace a part that broke a year and half after it was fixed. They said because its over a year old, its not under warrenty. I also might add this is the second time that part has been replaced since the car was bought in 2000.

Thats when he decided GM was not all about keeping him in the family, and his new truck would come from the Nissan showroom.

I was thinking about getting another chevy but I just liked this one better. It's a pretty nice car and the new chevys I looked at didn't impress me that much.

Oh and the MPG thing, you have to remember that those numbers in the window are under very optimal conditions and are pretty unrealistic. I think next year auto manufacturers are going to be required to put more realistic figures on them. Just FYI
