How do you like this story90StormGSI 08-02-2002, 07:14 AM I have a 1990 Geo Storm GSI, 1.6L DOHC motor w/ a 5 spd manual tranny (3.87 final drive), a gutted cat and an intake w/ a K&N cone.. I raced a 1998 Acur Integra LS, 5 spd, intake, cat-back.. We raced to about 100 mph, I had a car and a half on him.... I love my GEO...:D cybercrx00 08-02-2002, 09:31 AM gs integras are slow, so yeah, i would run side by side with them in my wicked fast '99 ex that was near stock, and puching the whole of maybe 100hp to the wheels. good kill. I just noticed you raced to 100, i bet that was a long race. you won't ever catch me doing 100 in a geo, i ain't tat crazy hahahha 90StormGSI 08-02-2002, 10:17 AM My GSI, the spedometer goes up to 120, I've had mine rolling 118 mph, ran out of safe road to go any faster, but i had plenty left in fourth and still had all of fifth to go.....my car also redlines at 7750, due to having alot of miles i usually only take it 7k-7500.... But the GSI models...I have beaten lots of stock EX coupes too...umm.. lets see the stats...I have stock 130 hp, 104 lb/torque, and it only wieghs just over 2k lbs....so it gets up and goes...i beleive it crosses the 1/4 mile stock just over 90 mph...I think, which would mean 100 mph would be just over 1/4 mile run...so it really doesn't take any longer than a civic or integra -The Stig- 08-02-2002, 07:16 PM ... You drive an Isuzu... My mom drove a 92 Geo Storm GSI. She said it was slow, so she bought an 87 Pathfinder 4x4 SEV6. A CRX does the exact same thing as your car does... plus its not an Isuzu. So when the electrical system goes kaput, you dont have to pay $600 for a whole new wiring harness. So yeah, the Geo is decent... but as in reliablity factors in... the REX would most likely win. So In conclusion, Good Kill... or something. TerminalVelocity 08-02-2002, 07:44 PM HAHAHAHAHAHA,, geo....I beat civics with my moms 94 prizem! .....I saw a civic beaten by a guy running too...(funny as hell) So if you manage to make a kill, other than a civic, good job! :D Polygon 08-02-2002, 08:11 PM Originally posted by 90StormGSI i beleive it crosses the 1/4 mile stock just over 90 mph...I think, which would mean 100 mph would be just over 1/4 mile run...so it really doesn't take any longer than a civic or integra Or not. If you were running the 1/4 mile at ove 90MPH then you would be running in the 14s. A stock Geo Storm would probably do the 1/4 mile in about the mid 17s and 0-60 in about 10 seconds. Nothing much to brag about there. But hey, nice kill. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
