I fixed both windows and I think the starting problem is fixed.

Now on to the turn signal. It works fine but it wont "reset" or "turn off" when you turn the wheel. I figure its a spring or switch of some sort in the steering column. Is this a difficult job (removing the column) or should I pay someone? What exact part am I looking to replace?

I guess I could just switch it off manually and say screw it, but I like to fix things. Thanks.

It's probably the cam for the switch, located under the anti-theft plate under the steering wheel. Be careful when disassembling this, as there is an airbag under the steering wheel center cover. The cam can be bought at Autozone.

I know what your talking about but......................How do I remove the anti-teft cover? Do I need to remove the steering wheel? How do I do that without exploding the airbag? Will I have to remove the ignition switch? (not the entire thing but the black piece you turn to start your car)

I would have already tried but Im afraid of setting off the airbag. There are two screws on the back of the steering wheel so I figure thats how to remove it, but what else should I watch for? As far as the anti-theft cover, There is a piece on the left side (closest to door) that can be snapped in and out. I know it cant be that easy. I cant get to the screws on the turn signal that way anyway.

I know Ive been asking alot of questions about a couple different things, I appreciate all of the advice given. You dont even know how much you have helped. Shit Im learning too. Thanks.

p.s. Can I just get an X pipe the same diameter of my exhaust and replace the Y pipe with it? Or should I go for true duals with headers? Will headers and true duals make that much of a difference over the X pipe?

the anti theft lock cover is a round metal disc with notches around the perimeter for a lock rod that comes out of the top of the column housing ot lock into when you put the ign key switch into lock position

it is held in place to the steering column shaft by a hog ring that you have to expand and slide up the column sahaft after first depressing it with a 15 dollar compressor tool that uses the threads at the top of the steering shaft that the steering wheel nut threads onto

then you can get to the cam and turn signal switch and other parts

alot of the times i dont put the cam lock plate back on but then i live in rural communit and nothing really ever gets stolen here most ppl leave keys in their vehicles here
