I need some help with getting a kit for some vertical doors for a 97 firebird. I can't pay the $1500+ for a kit, that's just too expensive for me. Does anyone know if I can buy the different parts separately or if I just have to get everything all together? also does anyone know anything about installing them or anything else that could be useful? thanks

I heard something about people going around and blowing up/shooting f-bodies that had lambo doors or huge wings or other cheesy shit, I wouldn't advise any of that :nono:

Its your car, and its your decision. But my opinion is they are fricking ugly. I remember seeing a post on here awhile back (doubt I could find it if I had to) from a fella that actually did it, he said it was a complete pain in the ass basically and they didn't work to well anyway.

The kit will be cheaper than buying the parts seperately... thats just how the economy work.
There is a kit for sale on the ad at the bottom for $699.
Again... I am with the others... dont do it, John you need to ban everyone who tries this.

Anyway the doors look cool like that.. but god damn our Fbody doors are just too freaking heavy to deny gravity.. I still wouldnt do it.

Doesn't look good on F-bodies.. I have seen some one corvettes that looked bad ass. My advice if you decide to take it is save the money for performance parts.

The thirdgen door are really heavy because the GM used the doors as an actuall part of the car's structure and support so there is a lot of reinforcement. I do believe that the 4th gen doors are much lighter because its fiberglass.
