How to tell if I have Traction Control

Hey,
I have a '95 Formula. Just trying to figure out if it has traction control or not. It has the A4 with the perform button and 3.23's but off the line it just doesn't go. Once it's moving it goes like a raped ape chirping the tires when it shifts but not at first. I didn't figure I did because I don't have a button for it but I've been reading that there wasn't one. The other day it was raining when I was driving home and I hydroplaned for a bit at 100kph. When that happened a "Low Trac" light came on on the dash so I don't know now. I do have GM's printout of the factory RPO's on the car but I'm not sure which one I'd need.
Thanks, Beene
PS. Is there any purpose to installing a LT4 knock sensor/module(whichever part is the problem) on a mostly stock car? I'll be modding it extensively later but I'm just wondering about gains now, Thanks.

Sounds like no traction control.

ASR/TCS cars have RPO code "NW9" on the driver side door.

Cool, Ok so I don't have that option so now how can I make this thing more potent off the line?
Thanks, Beene

traction control should be right above the asthray.. there should be button there, if there is no, then you got no traction control.. also it is normal to have low traction light on, that doesnt mean you got traction control, the computer just warns you that your tires are slipping.. for example, if you the the brakes real hard, that time low trac. light will come on, as l said that is just warning..

also do you have misffire? generally when you have missfire, the car runs like dead on ceratin spots..

Hey,
I don't think I have a missfire because the car was just totally checked out by the dealer(I just bought it 2 weeks ago. It has 100,000Kms on it). I do however have this weird problem where the car won't shift with the pedal to the floor. Just hangs out at 5,500RPM till you lift off. It does this in every gear whether perform is on or off and I've let it sit for about 15 seconds up there just seeing if it would ever shift but it doesn't
Thanks Again, Beene
BTW Mr. Luos do you have a site for your car? That thing looks SICK! in the Video, I'd love to see more of it

I don't have a site set-up for it.

Yeah my favorite part of that video is the difference between the 0-100 before and after!

Soo many people have called me asking whether or not my car has traction control when I was selling my car. I live in California, and see absolutely no point to it. Having traction control in the desert just doesn't make sense to me.

I've heard that the traction control button can be a bitch to turn off too.

What do you mean by that?

I've had several buddies that owned LS1's with it. They'd press the button, but it would still stay on. I guess it takes awhile to turn off.
