ive got a 94 grand am with 3.1 engine that cuts off when i try to put it in drive but it idles fine and starts fine but what is funny is it drives ok in reverse and does not cut off. do you guys got any suggestions out there.:banghead:

My 94 used to do that. Check the ground wires around the starter or anywhere else. Also check your oil cap. Is there any brownish stuff around it?
