Anybody elses A/C a little slack when it's in the 90-100's ?YukonGMC 06-10-2006, 06:37 PM Mine ('01) would put out at 41 degrees when I first got it. About 2 years later, hell if it was hot I had readings of 60-65 degrees (vents) several times. Had the compressor, switch, filter changed and it wasn't that much better. Noticed today at 95 degrees outside my vents were blowing 64. Strickly BS but I can't figure it out or the dealer. If it's in the 70-80's it will blow 45-48. Damn, I miss the 41 it use to blow, no matter how hot it got. Would a new accumulator (drier) help ? It wasn't replaced. Shiat. I'm stumped. Gauges say it's doing fine. Oh yeah, I've always had that hissing noise under glove box. 40K $$ vehicles just shouldn't have this kind of problem. Only 23K miles on it. bcopeland 06-25-2006, 03:23 PM Man, I live in Texas and the heat makes a car AC system work hard. intrcptrbird 06-25-2006, 06:12 PM Is it possible that your blend door just isnt closing all the way? So you're getting a little bit of hot air mixing in with the cold. It doesnt take much hot air to take the temperature up in the air. I would check that first before replacing the drier. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
