NEED HELP Removing my Headlightsickhonda 07-31-2002, 07:57 PM I own a 91 Honda Accord and in the process of replacing my OEM headlight with the projector type, but having difficulty removing the old headlight assembly. I need to know how to access the two screws under the stock headlight housing, as well as, the one attached bellow the grill. I'm reaching out to anyone with experience on this, PLEASE HELP!!! Than3o3 08-01-2002, 04:41 PM i dont kno if its the same removing a civics headlights but i think u have to take out the front bumper to get to those bolts tynebeach 08-03-2002, 01:49 PM I agree, even though it might be a pain in the arse i think you haveta remove the bumper. I sounds like an unusually bad design though, maybe someone else has a different answer. GTA 08-03-2002, 11:33 PM i know on my civic you would have to take off the bumper to get to em. Probably the same way on your accord. black 00 civic dx 08-10-2002, 01:24 AM i figured you already got this figured out, but on my 00 civic, i was dumping some red turn signals in and i saw the top two 10mm bolts on top of each headlight and thought "damn 5 min job" NOT ... i had to turn wheel all the way to right to get the left fender well loose enough to unbolt the side of the bumper, and that was the left most bolt, and for the inner left bolt facing horizontally to the car, i went in thorugh the bottom with a 10 or 11 mm bolt on a 1/4'' ratchet. it was tight, mom got home, got pised cuz my bumper was almost off and headlights were hanging down but it all went back together easy and headlights point perfectly and it turned out fine, so all you who are scared of the honda headlights, balls up and start jerking and unbolting shit, itll be ok p.s. dont get 00 civic cuz the between-headlight grill is one piece with bumper , i wanted mugen style (or any aftermarket) but that will require hacksaw and razor blade i think , ryan vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
