stupid questionsblkcamaro70 06-05-2006, 05:27 PM okay i am a forth gen guy so i dont know too much bout 5th gen. my question is what is the "EL" under the "CIVIC/EL". sorry i know this is a stupid quesion but will someone answer it please fiberglasscivic 06-05-2006, 05:33 PM EDIT: Sorry bout that, wrong designation. CivicSpoon 06-05-2006, 06:13 PM It's the Acura EL, very similar to the 5th gen Civics. Do a google search on them. hany 06-05-2006, 06:19 PM i think Ex exelant and DX mean deluxe and SI sported injection and SIR sports injected racing . if any thing wrong please inform me. fiberglasscivic 06-06-2006, 06:24 PM Here's a few links. Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acura_EL) Geocities (http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Downs/6614/acuraEL16.html) vette_7t9 06-10-2006, 08:01 AM uuuh whats an LX then? Lowoutput X? cuz my stock lx only has 102 hp hehe. alphalanos 06-10-2006, 08:07 AM maybe Luxury? I know that LX's have more features than CX and DX. CivicSpoon 06-10-2006, 09:18 PM yeah, LX is luxury; power everything. vette_7t9 06-13-2006, 04:34 AM then my LX must be weird.....it has power nothing! everythings manual, windows, door locks, mirrors, even the transmission. hany 06-13-2006, 09:28 AM i think its deferant from country to other. for exampel in my country the lx has no thing powe and 1500cc but the ex has all thing power and 1500 cc also . and the si has all thing power and 1600. i think honda company if found the country is kind peopel and did not interst in power things it send them the non power things with same price the power things :))) vette_7t9 06-13-2006, 12:26 PM haha. didnt the ex come with the same engine as the si? the D16 engine? CivicSpoon 06-13-2006, 02:41 PM It's definently different from country to country. vette_7t9 what country are you in? Your profile says D.C., but then it says Canada. If your car is in the US, then it's not an LX (if you don't have power windows, door locks, and mirrors), or at least it's not a '92-'95 LX I would assume. If your car is in Canada, then I have no clue. The US EX did have the same engine as the Si (d16z6). But I believe the EX in Canada is different; our US EX is Canada's Si (The US Si is a hatchback). Galuple 06-13-2006, 11:21 PM Canadian EX has power windows, locks, and mirrors, no ac (or at least not mine), 125hp engine. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
