You post is not quite clear on removing air filter box and could also lost 40 HP.
What kind of test have you done on it.
Lot of different bolt on cold air kits. And some are not even really cold air or forced cold air.
On the maf sensor you are stuck with using it. No way out of it.
But I have saw a few of them that are set up for high performance but they will cost you.
If your tahoe already has the large round cylinder air filter it is going to be hard to improve it for air flow.
Also different engines react different to different mods.
Some help and some do not.
And you may not see much more HP or fuel mileage.
Is the tahoe still under warranty?
Tell us why you are thinking about the air intake and what kind or wanting it to do?

During the test I also measured the power of the engine with the G-TECH PRO. Next time I'll perform the test on the chassis dyno to measure the right power. I saw that the lambda signal was about 0.960 mV with stock configuration and then it changed to a value of 0.985 mV without airbox and without air filter, always at max power. I am still lost on without air box and filter and the lambda signal.
What sensor are you getting the lambda signal from?
Did you run it with or without MAF sensor?

I ran with MAF sensor and I linked Motorscan to the Data Link Connector to read the lamda signal (in mVolt).

Get it on the old dyno and do some testing on it.
But remember the OEM filter and box is set up for forced cold air from grille or fender going down the road. And set up and engineered for normal driving.
On dyno sitting still you will not get any forced air threw it.
Also if you get more air going in you will need to let more air out the exhuast system.
